The School Council at Virginia Park Elementary has gotten into the spirit of Education and Staff Appreciation Week again this year. The ladies were in all week preparing baked goods, decorating the staff room and creating some pretty cool treats.  I say ladies because this male has been noticeably absent this week nursing some unpleasant kidney stones.

I think VPE is super lucky to have great leadership from a dedicated administration and some of the best teachers that any school could have.  I have often said a school is more than bricks and mortar, it is the staff, volunteers and community that create a loving, vibrant, exciting and respectful environment where our children are nurtured to become meaningful members of our society.

School councils across the province have been baking, cooking, volunteering and making crafts to show staff how much they are valued and appreciated.

I am whipping up a pot of chilli for the staff at VPE for tomorrow's school council provided lunch!

Here are a few pictures of some great displays of TLC from a few schools.
