55% percent of people who participated in a Telegram on-line survey regarding options open to the Premier to deal with the projected $2,000,000,000 deficit think cutting government spending is the right approach.

That is a higher percentage than the number of eligible voter who chose to cast votes in the recent provincial election.

In the short term the government only has a couple of levers at its disposal , raise revenues, cut spending or a combination of the pair. Promised economic diversification is a panacea that has alluded us for centuries already and certainly will not lead to a quick fix to our systemic economic woes.

The public are looking for leadership, that is why they ejected that last bunch that failed so miserably to provide a better future!
