ARE THE PATIENTS RUNNING THE ASYLUM?

I think a school dress code is important. I agree that kids need to learn how to adhere to rules and to present themselves respectably. However the main problem isn't that kids are pushing the boundaries and taking control from principals (kids are always going to push boundaries!) as this story suggests. The quote from the principal involved outlines his word choice- skanky. This is a word typically directed towards females. The problem is that dress codes are not being enforced equally to the girls and the boys. Look at any of the recent news stories, here in NL and on the mainland. That's the main complaint from those involved, and that is where change needs to happen.
