NO MORE WORRIES ABOUT LIMITED SMARTPHONE BATTERY POWER

I often joke to my single friends that the best thing about being married is that someone knows where my watch, wallet, keys and belt are.  Not that I am shrugging personal responsibility, but it seems that when I am in a rush to get out the door - one, or all of these items disappear. Most of the time Kristine finds them in the exact spot that I just looked for them in.

She also keeps my cell charged if it is laying around on a table somewhere and needs a boost. With multiple iPhones, iPads and iTouches in the house, one would think finding a charger would be easy. Nope, seems with the exception of Aidan who has his docking station/stereo/clock combo in his bedroom, the rest of struggle to use one charger!

With my perennial missing belt and low cellphone battery issues, I am intrigued by  Nifty‘s new XOO Belt, which has just launched as a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.

The company discovered a new type of flat, flexible battery and ddecided on a belt/battery combo. A belt that holds up my pants and charges my cellphone is a crowdfunding campaign that I am interested in supporting. I wonder if they could build in some sort of amplifier for the signal?

Speaking of keeping your smart phone charged, Starbucks has been brewing an innovative idea that its customers will get a charge out of. They have partnered with Powermat and battery giant Duracell to provide "power spots" in their stores for customers. The technology will be build into the tables, so that your phone can charge while you chat and enjoy your favorite beverage.

The roll-out of the new technology started yesterday at the company's San Fransisco area stores.

I like the idea of not having having to worry about making it through their day with limited battery power with a boost being available at the nearest Starbucks.
