What kind of idiot attends the National Remembrance Day ceremony at the National War Memorial in Ottawa pretending to be a decorated soldier? What kind of idiot impersonating a "real soldier" does an interview with CBC Television?

The answer is not yet known. What we do know is that the Sergant Franck Gervais, interviewed on CBC Television on Remembrance Day was a charlatan.

He broke the Criminal Code of Canada. Falsely impersonating a Canadian Soldier is an offense.

At this point all we can do is speculate what Gervais' motive was? Perhaps he was so filled with patriotism that he wanted in on the glory of wearing a uniform. Maybe he felt that women are attracted to men in uniforms and his Pizza Pizza uniform did not cut it? Was he in his own bizarre way paying tribute? Than again he might suffer from some sort of mental health issue and really believe he is a soldier.

It is an insult to those that have given their lives in the service of our country or earned the right to wear the uniform.

He would not be the first person to pretend to be a soldier or a police officer, but to disrespect the commemoration of the men and women who have and continue to wear the Canadian Armed Forces on our day of remembrance at the site of the horrifying murder of  Cpl. Nathan Cirillo was shot and killed  occurred three weeks ago is incomprehensible.

He is brave all right, and very, very stupid. I hope they arrested this bottom feeder

Earlier this year, Twenty eight year old Brandon Ashraf of Cheektowaga, NY was charged with Criminal Impersonation in the second degree after he spent two years impersonating a Green Beret who was killed in action in the Middle East.

He used the fallen soldiers identity on Facebook and online dating sites.
