The five of us enjoyed some curried chicken, rice and broccoli for supper tonight. It was the first time in over a week that we were able to sit together for a meal.
Aidan and I were in Grand Falls for the Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of School Council's AGM, Liam was playing hockey in Halifax and Conor was with Nanny Moe in St. John's. He had hockey and Shallaway practice.
I miss the banter around the table, the daily updates and the home cooked meals. A night apart is okay but three, or four, is just too long a stretch to be without my buddies.
Two more tournaments and one concert to go and our hectic schedule of shuffling the boys back and forth should relax some. I am looking forward to burning a tank of gas a week less than we do now. No more practices and games in Mount Pearl, Keligrews and Mobile.
More time for the kids to focus on academics and enjoy some Spring weather.
I am just waiting for the pleas for new bikes, scooter parts and a Go Pro?
Best of all, no rush to get supper on the table and out the door in four different directions.
