BLOGGING PLATFORM AND APP ADVICE

I love technology but it sucks when it doesn't work!

The printer jams, runs out of ink, or stops working when you have an important print job or are on a deadline. The internet fails to connect when you have some research to do or your computer malfunctions when you need it most.

Yes, one thing you can count on is that at some point your computer is going to fail to boot, your hard drive will crash or the old beast will give-up the ghost. That is why I back-up my photos and important data. I want to limit the consequences from a computer failure.

Generally, my computers are pretty stable but on days like today, my patience is tested. For no obvious reason, the synergy between my machines and the net is lacking. My blog posts have been going into a black-hole! It could be Blogger, it could be my browser or the App - Blog Press.

So, I am looking for a little advice on the the best blogging platform and apps for stability on the iPad because often the best time to blog is when you're away from the office enjoying a coffee or a walk.

I have been considering the following platforms: Wordpress, Blogger, Tumblr, Joomla, Drupal, Moveable Type. However, I am not convinced that either is that much better than Blogger in terms of functionality.

As for iPad blogging tools, I have read good things about Blogsy, Posts and Poster. They are all less than $10, which is not going to break the bank. However, I want to be able to review past posts, with a good interface that offers a broad feature set. Smooth, minimalistic and stable.
