REFLECTIONS OF ROSS PEROT: THE ISSUE IS LEADERSHIP

Bill Barry's Frank unpolished interview with CBC Television Reporter David Cochrane last evening gave me a wicked flash back to the the 1990's and old Ross Perot.

Could Bill Barry be Newfoundland's Ross Perot?

Opps, my mistake, he did acknowledge the Big Land last night.

"Not a business as usual career politician"

I was actually quite happy with the interview. Barry was honest. He did not hide his ambition, he wants to be premier. He did not hide his conservatism, he want to reduce spending. I believe his foray into politics is long overdue. It will force a discussion about issues. I was not impressed, as he was rough. Yet I was very attracted to his honesty, and his messaging.

I do not think you were alone. It would be unwise for anyone to underestimate him. Perot made quite an impact in American politics.
