If city  residents are concerned about the removal of crosses from local schools they may want to pay attention to an unfolding dilemma facing the great state of Oklahoma.

The God fearing Republican Legislators of the "Sooner State" are in a battle with Satan over the right to freedom of religious expression.

The spat started when, despite legal advice suggesting that allowing a monument of the Ten Commandments on the Capitol Grounds might be unconstitutional, the Republicans funded it anyways.

So now the Satanic Temple says fair is fair. They want a monument to their God as well. The New York-based group has notified the state's Capitol Preservation Commission that it wants to donate a monument and plans to submit several aa design this month - just in time for the Christmas holidays.

The request is not going over well in the buckle of America's Bible Belt but allowing one type of religious expression may have opened the door to others to do the same.

As a fella who has done a bit of work on legislation, I know the devil is always in the details!
