BONES AND LOONIES

I am starting to feel a little uncool.

The kids have a collection of slang for denominations of money, that I have never heard before!

Aidan was looking for some change and asking his brother for bones.

It turns out bones are Loonies or dollars. Fives are Fins. Tens are purple Back. Twenties are Twix and Hundreds are "real money"

Between this, the abbreviated shortcuts used in the flurry of  instant messages, and the Math program, I am thinking it is time for me to return to school.

I wonder if there is a translator out there for kids slang?
