The past couple of weeks have been chaotic for the universe. The five billion year old comet ISON's five million year journey to our Sun needed when it flew too close to the sun and melted. Giant sunspots have been spewing radiation and my domain registration for Polemic and Paradox nearly joined ISON in the trash can of history.

I normally renew my domain for two years at a timers. However, some changes in the purchasing policy led to a one year renewal. My iMac suffered a catastrophically hard drive failure necessitating a repair job. For the past few weeks I have been using Gmail, not my old sympatico account. The end result, I missed a series of notices about the imminent deadline to renew my domain and the grace period had elapsed.

Tonight the planets must have aligned. Google Apps and Econ agreed that I had requested an auto-renewal and the mistake was not mine. Polemic and Paradox has risen from the ashes like a Phoenix instead of meeting Icarus's fate like ISON.

My 27 inch iMac returned tonight as well. I had forgotten how bloody big the screen was after a few weeks of laptop screens! Yea, I am making up for something!

The true test is unfolding now, will Time Machine restore my of files, folders, programs and pictures? 1.5 Terabytes of data are being reassembled.

Crossing my fingers and praying the universe will be kind.
