In 2013, it is estimated that 23,600 men will be diagnosed with the disease and 3,900 will die from
Prostate cancer can be slow-growing and some men who develop prostate cancer may live many years without ever having the cancer detected. It is important to get screened regularly so that if you do develop prostate cancer, the appropriate action can be taken. A significant proportion of prostate cancers, if untreated, may have serious consequences.
If detected and treated in its earliest stages over 90 percent of prostate cancer cases are curable; early detection is key.
A few weeks ago, I was proud to present a cheque on behalf of the St. Paul's Council of the Knights of Columbus in the amount of $2,500 to the Prostate Cancer Association to the to help raise prostate cancer awareness. The council is also supporting a rider in the ride for dad.
Our Dad's know we love them. Why not show how much you care by donating to the fight against Prostate Cancer and help get early detection message to men everywhere.
