I admit that I'm not a fan of Valentine's Day.
I do not like the consumer pressure to buy chocolates, go out for a meal and purchase a card.
I like to celebrate love every day of the year!
I do not like to be told when and what to tell my wife.
Valentine's Day is all about love, and passion. But what happens when that love and passion take a turn for the worst?
Valentines Day is right up there will the Full Moon when it comes to bringing out the crazies.
There was the Reeva Steenkamp murder that police in South Africa say was premeditated. Prosecutor’s say Oscar Pistorius put on his artificial legs to walk to the bathroom where his girlfriend had fled after an argument and then fired into the locked door, hitting her three times, a prosecutor said at a dramatic court hearing today. Pistorius claims he thought he was shooting a burglar through his bathroom door. Good luck with that one.
Another wacky, but less published Valentine gone wrong occurred in Illinois where a man’s attempt at a make-up kiss cost him half of his tongue. (Gawker)
The 47-year-old’s and his girlfriend Elaine Cook, 51 had an argument after they came home from a Valentine's Day date. In an attempt to make things right he went to kiss her but she was having none of it. Elaine chewed off part of his tongue and spit it out on the kitchen counter.
He put in a zip lock bag and rushed to hospital but doctors couldn't reattach it.
Fortunately, he can still speak!
