A few days of enduring high fevers, sweats, shivers, blocked
sinuses, step throat and lethargy that would make a coach potato nervous has
given me ample time to reflect on life.
As much as I enjoy blogging, expressing myself
publicly on controversial political issues has not come without a bit of a price.
For years some of my non-political friends have questioned the hidden negative consequences that these opinions can create. It is a small town.
I have often thought through the
consequences of my opinions and justified the realistic costs and
trade-offs.
I am throwing in the towel.
Given a choice between making a living
in Newfoundland and Labrador and moving away, I have to put my family first,
reset my professional priorities and concentrate on the tangibles.
See you around.
Remember, think locally and act
vocally.
