As a political hack who has spent a lifetime working in and on the fringes of the political system, my frustration with optics over substance, towing party lines and governing by the polls is well known.
This article proves that our system is broken. That discourse, debate and true representation is thwarted by the concentration of executive power in our political parties and parliamentary mechanics.
