The wife of former Newfoundland and Labrador Liberal Leader Jim Bennett will be seeking the leadership of the Ontario Liberal Party.

Sandra Pupatello, a former Ontario Minister of Economic Development and Trade, and 16-year Member of the Legislative Assembly is set to make an official announcement in her home town of  Windsor.

She is respected as a politician who gets the job done and as an outstanding constituent representative. Her passion and energy is legendary within Ontario Liberal and business circles.

She led business missions to India, China, the EU, the US, the Middle East and Mexico strengthening Ontario's economic opportunities around the globe.

Sandra, represented Windsor West in Queen’s Park from 1995 to 2011. She served in various senior portfolios including: Her portfolios in cabinet includes: Minister of Community and Social Services; Minister of Education; Minister of Economic Development; and Minister of International Trade and Investment.
She left politics in 2011 and joined PricewaterhouseCoopers as Director, Business Development and Global Markets.

She is married to Newfoundland and Labrador Liberal M.H.A Jim Bennett. He currently represents the district of St. Barbe.
