Having decisively won the
last two presidential debates, President
Barack Obama appears to have regained the momentum that that he lost in the
wake of his poor performance in the first debate in Denver.
Many of the post debate
polls are showing that Mitt Romney has stalled. The polls show that Obama has
not slipped, regained or increased his lead in those swing states that will
determine the outcome of the election. He is winning in Iowa,
Nevada. Colorado ,Virginia, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin,
Iowa and Ohio. Florida
and North Carolina
are still looking Republican blue.
Some of these polls were in the
field before the debate, so the debate win bump may not have registered yet.
Did you catch Obama on Jay
Leno's late-night talk show last night? Obama hit back at the Indiana Senate
candidate Richard Mourdock’s ridiculous proposition that pregnancies occurring
after a rape were intended by God. “Let me make a very simple proposition. Rape
is rape. It is a crime. And so these various distinctions about rape don't make
too much sense to me, don't make any sense to me."
On a less serious note, I
liked the President’s quip about Donald Trump. The President said it Asked what
was going on between himself and Trump, Obama joked that it "all dates back
to when we were growing up together in Kenya…We had constant run-ins on the
soccer field, and he wasn't very good and resented it. I thought it would be
over when we got to America,"
For those that are counting,
the election is 11 days away!
