CONSUMERS WIN THIS WEEKS GAS ROULETTE SPIN

The up and downs of local gas prices is more entertaining than a game of Rollercoaster Tycoon.

This morning our Public Utilities Board ordered gas  retailers to lower their maximum prices on all grades of gasoline nearly six cents a litre!

The downward measure comes after last weeks increase of nearly seven cents a litre!

The news is not all good. Furnace oil is up slightly, by 0.11 cents per litre. Woe is me for having an oil furnace.

Check out the gap between the Canadian average and the Newfoundland and Labrador average. Good thing we are all sharing in the offshore wealth so that we can afford to heat our homes and fuel our vehicles!
