CONTEMPLATING SWINGING

______________________________________________________
"Throughout our marriage, we have remained devout Republicans.
That doesn’t mean we didn’t shake things up once in a while.
Any married couple will tell you that sometimes you have to
try new positions just to keep things interesting.
Of course, most of the time, those positions were conservative
although occasionally we’d adopt a moderate stand or,
if we were a little tipsy, we might even briefly experiment with
a liberal perspective."

While waiting for an order of Chowder and Sweet Fries at the Deer Lake Irving on Monday, I sneaked a quick look at the editorial and opinion section of the Globe & Mail.

An article/letter by David Martin caught my attention. It deals with swing voting in the United States. Martin's "cousins" in states are Republicans that are teetering on the verge of voting for Democrat.

While the article provides great insight into the polarization of the right in the United States, it is very witty and humorous.

Enjoy!
