WORKING FOR THE WEEKENED

My ducks are in all in a row!

I have managed to coordinate a few days off with both employers. Five days in a row! A mini-vacation. Unlike last weekend, I am going to have the Canada Day Weekend off!

As soon as Aidan finishes his tennis lessons on Friday morning, we are off to St. Bernard’s!

I can hardly wait. The salt air, getting out on Fortune Bay, perhaps a swim and a night at the cabin in Barrasway de Plate.

We normally try and get across the bay to Recontre East in July. The M/V Northern Seal which operates between Rencontre East, Bay L’Argent and Pool’s Cove is out of service for its annual refit.  This means that travelers have to depend on a helicopter service to get back and forth.

I just booked a helicopter run over to Recontre East for Monday, July 02 for the family. I thought a cruise around  Fortune Bay for $4.25 was a steal of a deal. We are going to get a run across the bay, via chopper, for the same price as a ferry run.

Depending on the weather, it should make for some great photography!

Fireworks and fires may be out due to the ban, but it is going to be a great time.
