"If Stephen Harper gets a majority government
I remind you of words of Bachman Turner
Overdrive: You ain't seen nothin' yet."

"The only reason we haven't seen his full plan
 for Canada implemented is because
he's had a minority government to keep it in check.
 A majority government for Stephen
Harper would be one of the most negative political
 events in Canadian history."

Premier Danny Williams

Premier Dunderdale is picking a proxy fight!

She was on National Radio taking Defense Minister Peter MacKay to task over the weekend.

Her frustrations with MacKay  were expressed on CBC Radio's The House. The root of her concerns, the closure of the Maritime Rescue Sub-Centre in St. John's and the failure in communications in the search for Burton Winters, who perished after getting lost in a blizzard last February. She says the feds  "failed" with part of the search.

The Premier took the opportunity to express her government's concerns about proposed changes to the E.I. Program.

For me, it is all a little scripted. Sorry, but the Premier showed her political prowess when  she crawled in bed with the Federal Conservatives in the last election. She helped convince Canadians that they could trust Stephen Harper. Newfoundlanders and Labradorians will always remember the the picture of Dunderdale enthusiastically embracing Prime Minister Harper, despite her predecessors concerns about what a majority Conservative government would mean for the country

She campaigned for this crowd and is an accomplice to the sweeping right wing changes that the Harper government has embarked on.
