I am going to bed! The CBC decision desk just projected a PC majority in Alberta.

The Progressives have won a major victory. Harper, Flanagan and the gang have been stonewalled.

Edmonton & Calgary held and rural areas did not produce the seats the Wild Rose needed! Uncertainty about leadership and change derails the Conservative momentum.

A little ironic Conservative voters reject change after brief flirtation.

Surprised but certainly not disappointed. Could still be much tighter than the early results indicate. Love to wake up to a news of a minority PC government.

I can wait until the morning for the final results!

How did the pollsters get it so wrong?

I'm relieved. Smith struck me as being one of those "walk over your grave" to get her way kind of people. Lots of ideology, not much compassion.

She put me in mind of Palin. Not a click or a clue. ALbertans showed the country that the people of the province are not reflected in the right-wing reform/Conservatives. The result shows that when the public gets engaged and participates by voting, the minority views of those more radical Conservatives are not the majority,
