My friends in Toronto and Halifax have been taunting me with stories about the great weather they have been experiencing so far this Spring.  Today's break from rain, freezing rain, snow, fog and cool temperatures was as good as a trip south. A mental renewal that was well overdue.

A last minute glitch with the printing of the booklet for the Mega Atom Hockey Tournament cost me my lunch break and I was so looking forward to a walk around Long Pond. I made up for it by walking home from MUN. What a great day! I am looking forward to walking back and forth now that he weather is improving.  Of course, I can't do it as much as I wish because the kids still have to be shuttled around to schools and extra-curricular activities. So is the life of a father of three healthy, active boys!

After the walk home, I cleaned up the barbeque, moved it out of the shed and back to it's familiar locale on the back deck. While we barbeque all year long. This evening was the first time since October that I was able to enjoy a drink and grill some meat without wearing a warm coat and gloves.

I even noticed a few brave flowers starting to bloom in one of our flower boxes. Might be time to pick up some lime for the lawns.

At the risk of jinxing it, Spring is here...at last!
