"i liked it so much i bought the company,
shaves as close as a blade ,
or your money back."

How much does a close shave mean to you?

For some, like my brother, shaving is a hated, time-consuming, often painful even. Most men start their day after shaving, or trimming. I normally shave in the shower.

Over the years, shaving has gotten expensive. Refill cartridges for the various handles like the Mach 3 are really expensive. Sometimes I wonder if it is all a gimmick, if the blades are designed to cut in such a way that when you use another product you end up cutting yourself more.  Are the new blades made of something really valuable or is Gillette just greedy? It kills me to buy razor blades.

A company called Bright Light is offering the well to do an alternative. Their $100,000 blade and handle has been engineered from experience gained in nanotechnology, particle physics and rocket engineering. The razor features a Zafirro Iridium handle and sapphire blades.

The metal is the most corrosion-resistant platinum metal ever found. It's source, extraterrestrial, it is only found in meteorites.

The blades are only 80 atoms thick  5,000 times thinner than the width of a hair!

I wonder what Victor Kiam is shaving with these days!
