So long corporate and government types, Blackberry is going after the youth market with the launch of The Bold Team!
BlackBerry users swear by them but, the only Blackberries I see anymore are
corporate issued. Most people seem to be using Androids or iPhones. The few people that I know that are using a Blackberry for personal use are just waiting for their contract to expire so they can pick-up something new.
I used to have a Blackberry, but after using some Apple products I realized how deficient the Blackberry was. An old school operating system that is slow running is not a recipe for capturing, or holding market share. They need a major OS update and overhauled hardware.
RIM has seen its share price fall by over 75 per cent in the last
year following a number of underwhelming product launches and, what the
Financial Times describes as, "a series of management missteps and
Back to the Bold Team. Where did this come from? Who approved it? I wonder if this campaign was the reason for the drunken stupor that two guys from RIM entered into that resulted in the grounding of a plane on the way to China? One of the execs threatened to kill passengers, crawled down onto his
stomach and started kicking the floor, "assaulted" a flight attendant,
and then, once finally handcuffed, they both chewed their way out of the handcuffs.
