COLOURS OF AUTUMN

Aidan wanted it to be a big surprise, but I know that he is going to be doing a solo in tonight's Singing of the Colours of Autumn, Shallaway's first fall concert. He is a member of Children's Chorus.

He certainly has evolved from the shy little kid with the beautiful voice who would not sing at concerts or in front of crowds. I can not wait. I am more nervous than him. One of these parental pride things.

Shallaway is now selling tickets for their upcoming 2009-2010 season! All of their concerts are now posted in the calendar section of the web site.

Shallaway’s mandate is to provide choral music education to young Newfoundlanders and Labradorians, to connect the province with the rest of the artistic world through choral presentation. Shallaway has developed an excellence in the interpretation and performance of a wide range of choral work from around the world, especially works celebrating the musical and cultural heritage of Newfoundland and Labrador and to date, has produced five recordings.
