I used to love double features, two for one. They were a rare occurrence here in St. John's. I remember viewing a couple at the old drive-in theater out on Brookfield Road. When I lived in Ottawa they were more common at some of the old movie houses. The closest I get to them these days is the Veggie Tales double feature on DVD.
Yesterday morning after the 8:00 am news CBC offered a double feature of sorts. The acidic observations of Business Post Editor Craig Westcott followed by a heated exchange from the magic memory machine between Lamer counsel and social crusader Jerome Kennedy and Justice Lamar over Kennedy's inability to get straight answers from witness Cathy Knox. I commented on the exchange yesterday so I will not repeat myself.
The double feature is available for your amusement, education and bewilderment on CBC Radio's web page. If you missed it take the 8 minutes or so to listen. The Veggie Tales Ultimate Silly Song Countdown is silly but this mess is even sillier!

I consider Veggie Tales (the cartoons, not the government) to be far more mature.
At least the cartoons teach positive ethical behavior and present positive role models.
There comes a point where you just don't know what to say anymore.
I think the entire cabinet, dept of justice and the eastern health board managers should be made to sit through a Veggie Tale film festival. They might learn the difference in right and wrong.
